Nutcracker at Zeum 2010 – Dancer’s Bios:
Brian Fisher began dancing at New York University Tisch School of the Arts where he received a BFA in dance. While in New York he danced for, or appeared in works by, numerous choreographers including Rosalind Newman, Igal Perry, Ali Porfarouk, Alvin Ailey, Lar Lubovitch, Kurt Joos, Kenneth Rinker, Nina Wiener, Doug Varone, and Choo San Goh. Along the way he also danced on Broadway in La Cage Aux Folles, and in national tours of the Music Man and Wizard of Oz Live where he danced for legendary Broadway choreographer Onna White. He was also handpicked as one of 44 dancers nationwide to dance for the Presidents of the United States and France at the re-opening of Liberty Island
after the renovation of the Statue of Liberty.

Since moving to the Bay Area he has danced for many choreographers and companies including such longtime associations as ODC Dance San Francisco, Berkeley Ballet Theater,
Mark Foehringer Dance Project, and Sean Dorsey Dance. He has also appeared in works by Amy Seiwert, Rebecca Salzer, Victoria Morgan, Corinne Blum, Sonya Delwaide, Corinne Jonas, Robert Moses, Kathryn Rozak, Kevin Ware, Brandon Freeman, and Richard Chen See among others. He has appeared as a guest artist for Diablo Ballet, Peninsula Ballet Theater, Anima Mundi and has danced several seasons with the San Francisco Opera Ballet. In 2001 Brian was awarded the Isadora Duncan Award for Ensemble Performance. Brian teaches both modern and ballet technique classes and has taught as a faculty member at the ODC School Curriculum, Teen Dance Company, Danspace, and Berkeley Ballet Theater. He has also served as a faculty member for the Lines BFA Program through Dominican University, and as a guest lecturer for Stanford University. This is his 14th season with MFDP|SF.
Chad Dawson was born and raised in New Orleans where he began his dance training at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. He graduated cum laude from SUNY Purchase in 2008 with a BFA in Dance Performance. Chad is a member of Margaret Jenkins Dance Company, Stephen Pelton Dance Theater, and Gretchen Garnett and Dancers. He has also premiered works by Nol Simonse, Heidi Schweiker, and RAWdance. When he's not dancing, Chad is a CMT, trained by the National Holistic Institute. This is his second season with MFDP|SF.
LizAnne Roman was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, LizAnne Roman relocated to the Bay Area in 2007. She holds a BFA from the University of Oklahoma School of Dance. Her previous professional work includes Tulsa Ballet, the Louisville Ballet, and Artisan Dance Theatre. Since moving to San Francisco LizAnne has been privileged to work with Todd Courage, Folawole, Janice Garrett & Charles Moulton, Paco Gomes and David Herrera. She is also pursuing her STOTT Pilates certification here in the Bay Area. This is her second season with MFDP|SF
Taylor Ullery is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in Dance. At Irvine, she performed works by Douglas Becker and Molly Lynch and performed with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company. Since moving to the Bay Area, she has performed with Janice Garrett/Charles Moulton, Printz Dance Project, and most recently with ODC/Dance in Architecture of Light. She currently teaches creative movement to Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade at The Nueva School and teaches ballet at Westlake School for the Performing Arts. This is her first season with MFDP|SF.
Juan De La Rosa began his dance training at San Francisco State University, where he received Bachelors degrees in Theatre Arts and Dance (Theatre credits at www.juancdelarosa.com). Since then, Juan has been an active member of both the theatre and dance communities here in the Bay Area and has danced with Paco Gomes and Dancers, David Herrera Performance Co., Kelly Kemp and Company and Sean Dorsey Dance. This is his second season with MFDP|SF.
Jetta Martin is a dancer, choreographer and educator living in the San Francisco/Bay Area. She has trained with Oakland Ballet, Lines Ballet, Alvin Ailey, Limon, Jacob’s Pillow, American Ballet Theater, Pennsylvania Ballet and the Dance Theater of Harlem schools. After graduating from Harvard, Jetta began to pursue her career as an artist and teacher with Oakland Ballet. She has been on faculty at Henry Berg’s The Ballet Studio and at Shawl Anderson Modern Dance Center. In addition to her continued work with Mark Foehringer Dance Project, Jetta is also a member of Natasha Carlitz Dance Ensemble (modern) and Push Dance Company (jazz), as well as a freelance contemporary dance choreographer. Most recently Jetta has performed at the Zeum Theater in SF, ODC Theater in SF, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in Beckett, MA, the Joyce Soho in New York and the Cairo Opera House in Egypt. Her choreography has been performed at Dance Mission Theater (SF), Berkeley’s Earth Day (Berkeley), Mark Foehringer's Dancing in the Park (SF), Harvard University (MA), Counterpulse (SF), The Ballet Studio (SF) and Shawl Anderson (Berkeley). Jetta's work has been commissioned by the San Francisco Museum of the African Diaspora and by the Black Choreographer’s Festival 2010.
Jaclyn Stryker grew up dancing in Los Angeles and received her core training from California Dance Arts. She graduated from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and went on to study at the University of California, Santa Barbara, from which she received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance in 2008. She was a member of the UCSB Student Dance Company which had the opportunity to dance with Santa Barbara Dance Theatre in their tour of Beijing, China. After graduating she was offered a position with California Contemporary Ballet and danced with the company for 2 seasons. Jaclyn is recently new to the Bay area and is dancing as an apprentice with Napoles Ballet Theatre. This is her first season with MFDP|SF
Thomas Woodman has been classically trained in ballet for six years. At the age of eight, he won the title of Mini Mr. Dance with Dance Masters of California. He studied with the worldrenowned
tap dancer Sam Weber. His favorite styles of dance are modern and tap. He is currently a member of TDC, a contemporary dance company for teens in Mountain View, CA. This is his first season with MFDPSF.
